Our previous projects
Honed over years of experience
Artery-in-a-Box device to research nanoparticle cancer treatments
Cambridge University
- End-to-end development of a new research device named “Artery-in-a-Box”to replicate shear stresses in human bloodflows to study the dynamic behaviour of nanoparticles
- Responsible from defining design requirements, concept scheming, detailed product design, manufacturing & assembly, test and validation
- Device successfully replicated the phenomenon described in litterature review
- Project delivered in full and on budgetÂ
High pressure vessel safety factor validation for new fuel propagation
University College London
- The thermodynamics laboratory team at University College London needed a new high-pressure vessel to study the propagation of new fuels.
- Our expertise offered validation of the newly proposed vessel using FEA, based on the performance of their current devices and an agreed safety factor. Results fed back into the design for manufacture.
Treating respiratory diseases with minimum oxygen supply
UCL MechSpace
- A proof of concept study was carried out on an innovative device designed to treat respiratory diseases using minimum oxygen supply
- Our work, which consisted of CFD (computational fluid dynamic) simulations, has shown that the proof of concept is feasible, and that the required FiO2 levels for the patients can be maintained
